DESCRIPTION

Steady as She Goes is a comment on the accidental collision of the two ships KNM Helge Ingstad and Sola TS 8. November 2018 on the west coast of Norway. KNM Helge Ingstad was a part of the Norwegian navy, and the piece was written for a concert with the Norwegian Navy Band (nor.: Sjøforsvarets Musikkkorps), with three speakers performing a processed transcription of the radio log between the two ships before the crash. The piece is an artistic contribution to the public debate around the accident.
