DESCRIPTION

Seven Miniatures for Violin is written with the talented young, or intermediate violinist in mind. The piece consists of seven short miniatures ranging in duration from ca. 15 to 45 seconds. The miniatures are focused around the two middle strings of the violin, and most of them utilizes double-stops and open strings extensively. There isn’t an exact tempo marking for the different movements, as to make the piece accessible for performers of varying skill level. The piece is inspired by fiddle-music, while staying within a classical idiom.
